About The Position

Dalmatian Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design Fire Protection Systems for all types of projects. The role involves using AutoCAD/HydraCAD to design layouts, create hydraulic calculations, and generate pipe lists for pre-fabrication. Dalmatian Fire Protection is a full-service fire sprinkler contractor offering layout, design, fabrication, and installation for various sprinkler and specialty systems, as well as fire pumps, standpipes, fire water storage tanks, and fire-related inspections.

Requirements

Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience (e.g., Architectural, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management Degrees)
Fire Protection design experience preferred
NICET certification preferred
AutoCad, Revit, and/or Hydratec Experience preferred
Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
Excellent communicator, self-motivated individual with great organizational skills

Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required

Responsibilities

Designing and the layout of Fire Sprinkler systems
Reading, analyzing, and interpreting contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specifications
Writing, planning, coordinating, and making presentations to individuals and groups
Working with and comprehending mathematical concepts including hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis
Developing positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction
Providing fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK
Responsible for BIM modeling and field surveying
Providing lists for fabrication and coordinating between the trades
Other duties as assigned
