About The Position

The Design Project Manager coordinates the design of new construction projects, manages vendor information, reviews drawings and finishes, and prepares project charters and other stakeholder reporting documentation. The role maintains and plans the implementation of company-wide interior design standards that meet regulatory requirements. The position also supports the management and standardization of new construction, finish selection, and renovation or finish-upgrade projects at existing hospitals. The Design Project Manager travels to hospitals to coordinate design and construction projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Computer experience, including use of Adobe and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Licensed Interior Designer preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage design consultants, owner consultants, contractors, vendors, and project schedules.
• Identify and analyze new interior finishes to meet Operations objectives and initiatives.
• Maintain the resource library and database, and implement design standards.
• Respond to hospital emails and questions about interior finishes in existing hospitals.
• Provide project management services for interior design projects.
• Maintain industry registrations and certifications through continuing-education seminars, internet courses, and other related courses, if applicable.
• Travel to hospitals to coordinate design and construction projects.
• Meet position requirements and perform essential functions.
• Immediately report questionable situations, concerns, complaints, or harassment.
• Organize, plan, and manage time effectively to complete assignments.
• Complete mandatory training and courses by their required completion dates.
