About The Position

The Design Intern supports the design and office teams with a blend of creative and administrative tasks. This role contributes to the development of visual materials, presentations, and design research while assisting with day-to-day office coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional design environment.

Requirements

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar) is a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable using general office equipment (computers, scanners, printers, etc.)
Interest in design, architecture, construction, or a related field

Responsibilities

Assist in the creation and formatting of design presentations, including PowerPoint decks and visual materials
Support design research by gathering inspiration, trends, and competitive analysis relevant to company projects
Help prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation, files, and digital assets
Collaborate with team members to develop concept boards, layouts, and basic design drafts
Perform administrative and clerical duties such as data entry, document formatting, and file management
Take notes during meetings and assist in compiling project summaries, drafts, and reports
Manage and update internal databases and project tracking systems
Coordinate and organize meeting spaces, materials, and calendars for design reviews and presentations
Assist with general office tasks including answering phones, directing inquiries, and handling mail or deliveries
Attend team meetings, company events, and networking opportunities to gain industry exposure
Shadow team members across departments to gain insight into various roles within design and operations
