This position is responsible for designing, engineering, and developing signage and component products to meet customer image requirements. It requires a working knowledge of manufacturing processes for metal, plastic, vinyl, electrical lighting, and construction principles related to sign installation.

Requirements

Working knowledge of manufacturing processes related to metal, plastic, vinyl, electrical lighting and construction principles for sign installation a plus
Minimum two years experience in computer aided drafting (AutoCAD preferred)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience in engineering and/or metal fabrication

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree in engineering or related field is preferred

Responsibilities

Design, engineer, and develop signage and component products to customer image requirements.
Use AutoCAD system to produce complete fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings and/or graphics.
Perform structural analysis on steel and aluminum frames.
Translate engineering concepts into finished sign designs to effectively meet customer specifications.
Incorporate principles for manufacturability, value engineering, and installation requirements.
Create and maintain families of standard pylons, monuments and wall signs and other product commodities, using standard and special extrusions with cross-sections and details.
Develop and revise engineering standards.
Create and maintain Bill of Materials.
Standardize components for ease of manufacturing and cost control.
Assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
Use creativity and latitude in product design and construction.
Design product to maximize material yield and improve productivity.
Inventory control through standardization of components.
Provide technical support for sign site surveys and field installation problems.
Stay abreast of new and evolving technologies through education, trade shows, and literature.
Special projects.
