About The Position

L&T Technology Services Ltd. is seeking Design Engineers for full-time positions in Edison, NJ, and various other US locations. The role involves designing and developing new concepts, participating in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and issue resolution. Responsibilities include checking the feasibility of newly designed components and subsystems, providing support during prototypes, pre-builds, and the final release of master models. The position focuses on designing and developing new concepts in plastic products for the automotive industry, specifically plastic and fabric parts for automobile interiors. The engineer will also problem-solve and analyze design failures/issues during manufacturing, conduct tests to validate designs, suggest improvements in the pre-build stage, and conduct feasibility studies to ensure the production of new components. Ensuring components fit within the vehicle's body-in-white (BIW) and can be assembled on the production line is crucial. The role also requires performing engineering calculations and material selection to meet structural, safety, and regulatory requirements. Domestic travel and relocation are required for this position, with travel to various facilities of L&T Technology Services Limited and its clients across the U.S. up to approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any) or related field
  • Two years of engineering experience
  • One year of experience using Unigraphics (NX)
  • One year of experience using Teamcenter (PLM)
  • One year of experience using Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R)
  • One year of experience using Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
  • One year of experience using VAVE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering)
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent), a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) earned through any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service.
