About The Position

This is an evergreen role created to build a pool of “final-round ready” candidates for Software Engineer positions within Praxent's US-based Engineering Department. While the role is not currently open, hiring is anticipated in 2026. Applicants will be kept updated on the timeline. The initial step in the hiring process involves an introductory conversation with an AI-powered recruiter, followed by human-led interviews. Praxent hires for various engineering roles including Associate Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Staff Software Engineer, Principal Software Engineer, Associate Technical Director, and Technical Director. This specific role is categorized as Remote, meaning employees work from a physical location of their choice within specified US states (Texas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, South Carolina, Washington). Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without future sponsorship, and international remote work is not considered.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Experience communicating progress and raising blockers.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to high-quality delivery with attention to detail, code quality, and testing.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with client stakeholders to clarify requirements, discuss technical approaches, and provide demos.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Building modern, attractive user interfaces (React or Angular preferred), Building data-driven REST APIs (Python, Go, Node, or Java), Administering cloud infrastructure, servers, or databases (AWS preferred).

  • Experience with React or Angular preferred for UI development.
  • Experience with Python, Go, Node, or Java for REST APIs.
  • Experience with AWS for cloud infrastructure, servers, or databases.
