About The Position

Act as a key participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges. Be a primary point of contact for technical questions. Guide junior engineers and interns, providing feedback and technical support. Create Full DV/PV test plans to validate designs and confirm functionality and compliance of products. Create high-level reports and new documentation including envelope drawings, Schematic, EMA Fabrication, and EMA design, as well as managing full BOMs of different part numbers. Perform failure analysis and identification of root cause, and development of corrective actions and validation plans. Collaborate with managers/senior engineers to develop strategy and solutions during internal meetings and presenting design reviews. Creating and supporting new product design plans and ensure compliance per regulations to impact project direction and team performance by being a technical lead. Leading customer meetings and being a technical liaison for other companies. Translate customer requirements into detailed specifications, documents, and test plans. Independently develop and research new products to bring innovation to the companies’ product portfolio. Hybrid work from home schedule permitted 3 days within a reasonable commuting distance from the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or a related field
  • 2 years of experience as an engineer in sensor design
  • 2 years of experience to include: DFMEA analysis; 8-D process; EMC & ESD testing; Altium Designer; Programming languages including Python & MATLAB; Performing data analysis using MATLAB and writing reports on findings; Development & execution of validation tests; Leading OEM customer meetings; Working with communication protocols for sensor design; Agile methodology, working within a New Product Development (NPD) process; working with electronics suppliers to develop prototypes.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification required.
  • Lean Green Belt Certification required.
