This is an Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering (ASE) repair/limits design role based at Columbus Engine Center (CEC) in Columbus, Georgia. The activities supporting engine overhauls will be to identify, react, and create required technical data to minimize engine shop visit cost and turnaround time (TAT), and to prevent or mitigate engine work-stops. As a Design Engineer II at Pratt & Whitney, you will respond to EagleNet tasks, meeting cost, schedule and quality metrics consistent with engineering standard work and ASE Management Process Guidelines (MPG). You will establish repair/limits concept, design and validation substantiation requirements for technical dialog or engineering authorizations relating to repairs and alterations. You will form created repair technical data, obtain internal technical approvals, FAA regulatory approval and coordination with the end user. You will liaison with CEC staff and Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) members to minimize engine shop visit DAT TAT and to prevent or mitigate engine work-stops. You will provide engineering standard work suggestions to continuously improve repair/limit development process. You will drive continuous improvement activities and robust root cause investigations to ensure ASE and P&W continue to deliver world class customer and shareholder value.
