About The Position

AeroTEC's Product Innovation Team provides comprehensive, full-service product development services. The Product Innovation Team is responsible for developing, designing, creating, prototyping and manufacturing products to meet customer needs. The Product Innovation Team provides expertise in hardware development and systems engineering. We are looking for a skilled well-rounded Engineer I that can work on wide variety of aerospace engineering problems and enjoys a challenge on a daily basis. This job requires someone who can think critically on a variety of problems and is not afraid to take on tough problems with tight timelines.

Requirements

  • Four (4) year degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace). Other Engineering fields may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years in Product Design experience in Aerospace Engineering.
  • U.S. Person Status: is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Travel 20% (flying and driving) to various international and domestic worksites may be required.
  • Driving personal vehicle for errands required.
  • State driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Design systems and components to support flight tests, special mission aircraft modifications, etc.
  • Evaluate the design requirements for customer projects.
  • Develop design schedules, coordinate, and manage low complexity projects with little or no supervision.
  • Delegate tasks to junior teammates.
  • Design products using CAD software (NX experience preferred)
  • Perform basic strength and stress analysis as part of design process.
  • Support manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development.
  • Assist manufacturing personnel with assembly and production of product.
  • Responsible for ensuring that project meets requirements of specifications and standards, while promoting error-proof assembly.
  • Create final reports and conformity documentation.
