About The Position

Our Client in the Los Angeles area is a leading provider of Innovative Motion Control Motor and other Electro-Mechanical Actuation Devices for the aerospace industry. Due to expansion, they are currently seeking an Aerospace Motor Design Engineer for a contract position that has the option to convert to a direct role with the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years’ experience
• Experience with developing a product from concept to production
• Experience in the design, development, and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control /motor products such as electro-mechanical actuation devices for demanding aerospace applications
• Proficient in 3D CAD Solidworks modeling and FE analysis

Nice To Haves

• Some experience with FEA desired.
• Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical sensors.

Responsibilities

• Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with ISO Standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Confer with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
