About The Position
WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Sr. Design Draftsman for a 12-month contract in Richmond, VA. This role involves creating and updating electrical construction drawings, collaborating with designers and engineers, and maintaining project documentation. Occasional site visits may be required. The position functions as an intermediate-level draftsman within the electrical design group and reports to a Supervisor of Design and Documentation.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of drafting principles
- Demonstrated MicroStation and/or AutoCAD proficiency
- Proficiency in drawing and document management systems (ProjectWise & Documentum preferred)
- Work in a team environment as a fully engaged and supporting team member
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Drafting
Responsibilities
- Understand and employ personal safety practices at all times.
- Become familiar with and employ environmental compliance at all times.
- Prepare electrical drawings in support of power generation engineering projects per corporate standards.
- General electrical design support for the power generation fleet (i.e. equipment, cable/raceway, and drawing number support).
- Maintain drawing records per corporate and compliance policies.
- Coordinate site visits and perform field work as necessary.
