About The Position

Southeast Texas HR is seeking an experienced Draftsman to join our team in the manufacturing industry. As a leader in recruiting and HR services, our company has a reputation for excellence in selecting top talent. As our Draftsman, you will work alongside a team to design and modify components for our client. You must be comfortable working at an adjustable table and a computer terminal. This will be a temp-to-perm position for the ideal candidate. This job is a Monday - Friday days position and pay will be $19+ per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 or more years of draftsman experience.
• 2 or more years of working AutoCAD experience.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings
• Prepare both sketches and detailed work with AutoCAD systems
• Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations
• Communicate with team and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings
• Prepare, review and redraft alongside the engineering team
• Ensure final designs meet all compliance requirements
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
