About The Position

Momentum Worldwide is looking for a dynamic Design Director to help shape and guide the visual excellence across our Experiential Commerce projects and clients. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on creative leadership, guiding multidisciplinary teams to produce compelling, conversion-driven work that resonates across retail environments and immersive brand experiences.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in design, with a strong focus on shopper marketing, experiential, retail and/or CPG
  • Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring teams
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both shopper and experiential work (retail, environments, activations)
  • Deep understanding of shopper behavior and how it translates into physical spaces
  • Experience with environmental/experiential design (3D, spatial, etc)
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite

Nice To Haves

  • familiarity with 3D or spatial design tools a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team of designers
  • Set the design vision across commerce and experiential workstreams
  • Supporting of Momentum values
  • Translate shopper insights, spatial considerations, and brand guidelines into elevated and integrated design platforms.
  • Develop design systems and toolkits for multichannel campaigns including in-store, POS and physical environments.
  • Ensure design is optimized for conversion, engagement, and real-world interaction
  • Present design to clients with clarity and confidence
  • Act as a trusted creative partner, bringing proactive, forward design ideas to clients.
  • Work closely with strategy, creative and production teams
  • Ensure cohesion between creative, design and production
  • Stay current on retail trends, experiential design, emerging technologies and shopper behavior
  • Bring fresh thinking around immersive experiences, interactivity, and storytelling in physical spaces
