The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking an experienced supervisor and engineer for the Port Orchard Project Engineering Office to assist in the delivery of the WSDOT fish passage program. This program focuses on removing barriers to fish and providing critical infrastructure to connect fish habitat and aid in fish recovery. The Design Build Site Manager will help lead and manage an engineering field office of approximately 30 engineers and technicians responsible for delivering design-build fish passage projects. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with contract requirements, quality standards, and long-term maintenance needs. This position is crucial for translating design and policy into construction outcomes, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and ensuring transparency and accountability. The Site Manager will also represent WSDOT to contractors, local agencies, elected officials, and the public, requiring close coordination with regional staff, support groups, HQ, local agencies, Tribes, and project stakeholders.
