We are looking for a creative, highly organized, and proactive Design Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll provide essential support to our design process, from initial sketching through final production tracking. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to our private label accounts and see your work come to life. We are specifically looking for recent college graduates with a Fashion Design degree who are based in the NYC area and ready to grow their careers within a fast-paced wholesale corporate environment.

Requirements

  • Must be currently based in the New York City metropolitan area (commutable to our NYC office).
  • A newly completed Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Fashion Design is highly preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a fashion design capacity (strong internship experience at a wholesale or apparel brand is highly valued).
  • High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is required.
  • Comfort navigating PLM systems and a strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, a collaborative team-player mindset, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute directly to the seasonal design process by sketching in Adobe Illustrator and developing detailed tech packs and product specifications.
  • Own the day-to-day organization, checking in, and tracking of all design and prototype samples.
  • Prepare samples for critical line reviews and presentations (steaming, hanging, and organizing).
  • Create, update, and maintain physical and digital presentation boards.
  • Manage accurate data entry within the PLM system for both development and production styles.
  • Act as a key daily liaison with the Production department.
  • Organize and manage trims, artwork layout packages, and other design-related materials.
