About The Position

Generation Unlimited (GenU) is UNICEF’s global public-private-youth partnership focused on youth skilling and livelihoods, aiming to transform a generation at risk into a generation of opportunity. GenU collaborates with governments, businesses, and youth to scale solutions and strengthen systems that connect young people to skilling, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities. Young people are integral to co-designing and driving GenU's work, shaping systems for better futures. To enhance influence, investment, and action on the youth skills-to-opportunity gap and support young people's learning-to-livelihoods journeys in an AI-enabled, digital, and green economy, GenU is seeking a design and creative consultant. This role will be responsible for producing high-quality materials for global meetings, key GenU reports, pitch decks, proposals, and social media campaigns. The consultant will also provide creative expertise for special events and ensure adherence to logo and visibility guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, communications, marketing, innovation, social science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading multimedia graphic design and visual identity projects for publications, social media and events.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with international organizations (e.g., UNICEF, World Bank) or similar institutions with multi-partner, multi-country programmes.
  • Multimedia creatives: Ability to create visual assets for digital media (social media and website) and events (virtual/in-person)
  • Publication projects: Ability to lead flagship publications, presenting data in audience friendly visuals
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong understanding of design best practices for platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Ability to adapt designs for multiple formats and audiences, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Project management and remote coordination skills to deliver timely high-quality products
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset.
  • Experience with UNICEF and youth-focused programming is an added advantage.
