About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Dermatology Veterinary Technician. Schedule: Tues, Wed, Thurs 730a-530p. Do you want an opportunity to work with some of the brightest veterinary professional in this industry? Pay: $22.10 - $44.25 / hour. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our leveling system. We strive to provide state-of-the-art services to our patients and clients. We are very proactive in supporting our technician team to advance their careers. We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care. Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with different people in high stress situations
• Perform venipuncture and placing intravenous catheters
• Utilize Dermatology terms
• Swab for Otic Cytology, and ear mite preparation
• Prepare for Skin Biopsy
• Recognize alopecia, nodules and tumors
• Perform Anesthesia monitoring
• Perform diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
• Be familiar and proficient with aseptic techniques
• Be familiar with laboratory procedures and practices
