The technician also supports cosmetic procedures and laser-suite activities, communicates pathology results and treatment information, maintains pathology databases, and helps ensure patients receive timely follow-up and treatment. Additional duties include maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms and equipment; performing safety checks and deep cleaning; and supporting care coordination through phone messages, patient questions, appointment scheduling, and medical prior authorizations. The technician is cross-trained in front-office duties, including processing payments and updating insurance information.
