About The Position

New England Dermatology Associates is seeking a full-time Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their well-established and patient-focused dermatology practice in Vernon, Connecticut. This role offers the opportunity to build your own patient panel while practicing alongside experienced dermatologists who are committed to collaboration, mentorship, and exceptional patient care. The practice focuses on personalized care for patients with a broad range of skin concerns, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, rashes, moles, warts, skin growths, and skin cancer screening and treatment. The incoming provider will step into a busy, productive practice environment with the support of trained clinical and administrative staff. This role is ideal for an experienced provider who can hit the ground running, build patient volume, and comfortably see up to 30 patients per day while delivering excellent patient care.

Requirements

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with eligibility for practice in the state of Connecticut.
  • Dermatology experience is required; candidates must be comfortable managing dermatology patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
  • Ability to hit the ground running in a busy, productive practice and gradually build a strong patient schedule.
  • Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, efficiency, and commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Interest in joining an established practice with a collaborative team environment and strong patient demand.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing dermatology procedures such as skin exams, biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and related in-office treatments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dermatology care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of medical, surgical, and general dermatologic conditions.
  • Independently manage a busy dermatology schedule with the ability to see up to 30 patients per day as volume builds.
  • Perform skin cancer screenings, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other dermatologic procedures within scope of practice and experience.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on prevention, treatment options, and ongoing skin health.
  • Build and maintain patient volume through high-quality care, efficient clinic flow, and patient-centered service.
  • Collaborate with physicians, fellow providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members to ensure an excellent patient experience.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in accordance with practice and compliance standards.
