Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to dermatology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interactions.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and detailed medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimen collection accurately.
- Maintain precise and confidential patient medical records in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Manage patient appointment scheduling and coordinate effective communication within the office.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and recommended skincare practices.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
