Derm Onc - Full Time NP/PA
About The Position
Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute is looking for an experienced full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specialized in Hematology/Oncology and/or dermatology to provide quality health services to the patients in the Charlotte and surrounding community. The dermatology APP position at LCI Morehead in Charlotte, NC is open to either a nurse practitioner (NP) and/or physician assistant (PA) and will see a variety of skin conditions affecting cancer patients. This APP functions primarily in the outpatient setting caring for a mix of solid tumor oncology as well as hematology patients and demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills when working in a fast paced, high acuity work environment. Qualified candidates will be able to perform thorough history and physical assessment.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
- Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina.
- Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
- BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required.
- At least 1 year of experience in hematology/oncology and/or dermatology working as an APP
- Effective communication (written and verbal)
- Willingness to collaborate closely with clinical team
- Current on best practice and standards of care
- Displays self-initiative to learn
Nice To Haves
- Nurse practitioners are required to have a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice.
- Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
- Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.

- Outpatient clinic visits, inpatient consults and follow ups, punch and shave biopsies
