About The Position

As the Deputy Program Manager for the Air National Guard Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) contract, you will direct the day-to-day governance of the modernization project, ensuring all activities remain strictly aligned with contract requirements. You will serve as a central synchronization point between technical engineering, logistics, safety, and installation functions to maintain a unified project trajectory. Providing senior-level oversight, you will coordinate critical project milestones, including qualification, installation, and acceptance gates. Your leadership in conjunction with the Program Manager is essential for maintaining the project schedule and ensuring continuous cybersecurity compliance across all workstreams. You will bridge functional gaps to ensure that field operations, technical designs, and administrative requirements are executed seamlessly and in accordance with government expectations.

Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required for consideration.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience; 4 additional years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven experience in project governance and the management of multi-disciplinary teams (technical, logistics, and safety) within a federal contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex project schedules and oversee rigorous acceptance gates and system qualification processes.
  • Strong understanding of the synchronization required between technical execution and cybersecurity compliance mandates.

  • Prior experience supporting Air Force campus network modernization programs or large-scale DoD infrastructure deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Bridge functional gaps to ensure that field operations, technical designs, and administrative requirements are executed seamlessly and in accordance with government expectations.
  • Manage program(s) to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
  • Responsible for the delivery of an assigned program(s).
  • Manage the planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
  • Track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepare reports to senior management.
  • Responsible for managing activities of external consultants and/or vendors.
  • Lead and direct the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Administer departmental policies and procedures, evaluate results and performance, and assist with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
