About The Position

The Deputy Program Manager/Chief Infrastructure Engineer provides senior technical leadership and infrastructure engineering oversight for enterprise IT environments. The role combines program leadership with hands-on expertise in servers, networking, storage, virtualization, Active Directory, identity services, endpoint management, cybersecurity, datacenter operations, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • IAT Level II certification or higher under DoD 8570/8140 requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Extensive enterprise infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, authentication services, and virtualization.
  • Experience with Nutanix infrastructure and enterprise storage.
  • Strong networking experience, including routing, switching, firewalls, and network operations.
  • Experience with datacenter operations and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience designing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience with infrastructure modernization, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Experience with automation, configuration management, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Knowledge of RMF, STIG implementation, vulnerability management, and security hardening.
  • Strong technical leadership, mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior technical advisor to program management and government leadership.
  • Provide technical leadership across Windows and Linux servers, Nutanix, networking, storage, identity management, and hybrid cloud services.
  • Lead infrastructure architecture reviews, engineering assessments, and modernization initiatives.
  • Oversee Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, authentication, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
  • Provide technical oversight for routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and network operations.
  • Support infrastructure performance optimization, capacity planning, lifecycle management, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across servers, networks, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure services.
  • Drive automation, configuration management, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop technical roadmaps.
  • Ensure compliance with RMF, Continuous ATO, STIG, vulnerability management, and security-hardening requirements.
  • Mentor systems administrators, network engineers, infrastructure engineers, and technical support personnel.
  • Support workforce planning, technical resource allocation, risk management, and program execution.
  • Lead technical working groups, architecture reviews, and change-management processes.
  • Communicate technical risks, recommendations, priorities, and strategic initiatives to government stakeholders and program leadership.
