Deputy Chief Engineer, Program Integration

Mach Industries•Victorville, CA
•$105,000 - $180,000

About The Position

Mach Industries is seeking an early-career engineer to support technical coordination across multiple programs. In this hands-on growth role, you’ll help teams identify and resolve cross-program interfaces, communicate technical decisions, and keep engineering work aligned. This is intended for someone with 2–3 years of experience, rather than a traditional senior aerospace chief engineer. You’ll work closely with experienced technical leaders and build a broad understanding of how complex hardware programs fit together. The role supports technical reviews, integration planning, program-level engineering discussions, and critical project milestones. It involves working with engineering, manufacturing, test, and program teams to track risks, open questions, and actions and help bring technical issues to resolution. Extended hours or weekends may be needed.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in engineering, technical program integration, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, including the ability to make technical information clear to different audiences.
  • Ability to work across teams, follow through on open issues, and manage competing priorities.
  • Interest in complex hardware development and cross-disciplinary engineering.
  • Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must meet the stated U.S. export-control eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting hardware development, systems integration, or engineering program reviews.
  • Familiarity with CAD, engineering documentation, or requirements and interface tracking.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help teams communicate requirements, assumptions, design changes, and technical decisions.
  • Track cross-program risks, open questions, and action items, and help drive them to resolution.
  • Support technical reviews, integration planning, and program-level engineering discussions.
  • Identify conflicts or gaps between subsystem designs and bring the right people together to resolve them.
  • Prepare clear technical summaries and maintain interface and decision documentation.
  • Build working relationships across engineering, manufacturing, test, and program teams.
  • Support critical project milestones, including extended hours or weekends when needed.

Benefits

  • Healthcare, dental, and vision plans.
  • Retirement savings.
  • Paid time off.
  • Performance-based incentives.
