The Deputy Prosthetic Representative reports to the HSA 4.3 Chief of Prosthetics and is responsible for program & policy management, procurement & contracting, quality & compliance oversight, as well as clinical and technical support for all facilities within HSA 4.3. This role involves developing local organizational policies and procedures consistent with national policies, assuming all Prosthetics Manager duties in their absence, and assisting with the formulation, presentation, execution, and analysis of organizational budgets. The position also entails developing network-level proposals, business, and action plans, performing program cost analyses, and managing procurement and contracting for the Prosthetics & Sensory Aids Service. Additionally, the Deputy establishes program goals, resources, and operational aspects, provides guidance on Joint Commission standards and other regulations, and serves as an advisor to VACO for PSAS policy development. The role includes developing and conducting educational and training programs for PSAS staff and exercising supervisory authorities and responsibilities.
