The Deputy General Manager is responsible for upholding and administering all Regal policies and brand standards, ensuring cash management policies and procedures are adhered to, and monitoring risk management as it pertains to the theatre, including employee/guest safety, loss prevention, and proper handling of food and alcohol. This role involves managing hiring, training, developing, mentoring, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and terminating employees. The Deputy General Manager also oversees the maintenance of projection and sound technology, ensures facilities are cleaned and maintained, directs kitchen and bar maintenance, and supervises theatre maintenance. A key aspect of the role is optimizing profits through strict cost controls, maintaining inventory controls for various supplies, ordering necessary items, and creating staff schedules to meet demand while controlling labor costs. The position also involves ensuring guest satisfaction, managing guest relations, marketing, promotions, and handling guest complaints. Financial responsibilities include counting, depositing, and reconciling all receipts. The role requires adherence to all food safety rules and regulations, maintaining excellent personal hygiene, and handling lost and found items according to policy. The Deputy General Manager must also comply with all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
