As a Deputy Fire Marshal, you will perform duties within an assigned geographic area. This role involves fire investigation, including determining the cause and origin of fires, conducting investigations, preparing technical reports, and assisting in the prosecution of criminal charges. Additionally, you will be responsible for fire prevention, which includes reviewing and approving/denying architectural and engineering plans for fire code compliance, inspecting and testing fire protection systems, inspecting and approving/denying new and existing structures for compliance with codes and standards, providing technical assistance, developing and conducting training, and inspecting new and existing structures for code compliance.
