About The Position

The Massachusetts Port Authority is seeking a strategic and trusted aviation security leader to serve as the Deputy Director Aviation Security Operations. This role involves navigating complex regulatory environments, balancing risk with operational needs, and building strong partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
10 years’ experience in security, public safety, or aviation operations, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage complex programs, and collaborate with senior government, law enforcement, and industry partners.
Strong knowledge of aviation security regulations, including TSA requirements, FAA regulations, ICAO standards, and airport security protocols, with the ability to obtain and maintain required licenses, clearances, and certifications.

Nice To Haves

Experience in public safety and security at a major airport is preferred.
Demonstrated skills in working with senior aviation officials, federal, state and local law enforcement officials, and airport tenants preferred.
