About The Position

As a Deputy Court Clerk, you will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the Pasco Municipal Court by performing a variety of clerical, records, payment processing, and court-related support duties. This position assists with receiving, receipting, and posting payments; setting and monitoring time payment agreements; preparing case files and records; scheduling court dates; recording in-court proceedings; entering findings at the conclusion of hearings; and distributing court-related information to other agencies and departments. The ideal candidate will have general or legal clerical experience, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to maintain complete and accurate records in a confidential court environment. This role requires sound judgment, clear communication, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with the judge, attorneys, City staff, outside agencies, and members of the public.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two (2) years of general or legal clerical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in local government, court, legal, law enforcement, or other confidential office environment.
  • Experience using court case management systems or other specialized database systems.
  • Experience receiving, receipting, posting, and reconciling payments.
  • Strong customer service, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
