About The Position

The Deputy Commercial Manager will oversee all commercial aspects of high-rise commercial building projects, focusing on cost control, contract administration, financial reporting, and procurement support. This role requires a strong understanding of contract management, budgeting, and claims negotiation, with a mandatory background on the contracting side.

Requirements

B.E. in Civil Engineering
10 to 15 years of experience
Experience preferably in high-rise commercial building projects (30+ floors)
Experience on the contracting side is mandatory

Responsibilities

Manage all commercial aspects of the project, including cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting.
Review contract conditions, identify risks, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Administer subcontract agreements, variations, and claims.
Prepare and monitor project budgets and cash flow.
Track project costs versus budget and provide variance analysis.
Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of client invoices (interim payment applications).
Verify subcontractor bills and process payments in line with contract terms.
Monitor receivables and follow up for payments.
Identify, prepare, and negotiate variation orders and change requests.
Assist in preparation and submission of claims (EOT, cost claims, disruption claims).
Maintain proper documentation for all commercial correspondences.
Support the procurement team in subcontractor evaluation and finalization.
Review BOQs, material rates, and cost comparisons.
Work closely with planning, engineering, and project execution teams.
Support site teams in commercial decision-making.
Liaise with client and consultants on commercial matters.
