About The Position

The Bell County District Clerk’s office is accepting applications for a Deputy Clerk I position. This position will perform clerical duties for the department, including typing, data entry, and customer service. Qualified applicants will be well-organized, detail-oriented individuals with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure with flexibility and professionalism. Qualified applicants must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with the public and co-workers. Applicant must possess basic computer skills, knowledge of office equipment, excellent communication and organizational skills. The ability to meet the public in a professional, polite, and effective manner is also a must. Applicant will process information by collecting and verifying the accuracy of information, documenting to the system, and collecting and receipting filing fees. Qualified applicant will provide clerical support and perform general office duties to include, but not limited to answering the telephone, making copies, preparing and mailing documents, filing, and assisting with any function essential to the office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six (6) months of clerical or administrative support experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of office equipment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet the public in a professional, polite, and effective manner
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
