About The Position

The Deputy CUO, Portfolio Strategy & Management is the senior enterprise leader responsible for translating underwriting strategy and risk appetite into active portfolio decisions across all MSIG USA product lines. The role provides an enterprise view of portfolio performance, including portfolio mix, concentration, capacity deployment, and strategic portfolio actions. It complements, rather than replaces, the P&L and market accountability of business and product underwriting leaders. The position partners across underwriting, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Risk Engineering, distribution, Legal/Compliance, international leadership, and senior management to turn portfolio insights into underwriting standards, priorities, and actions. It provides portfolio challenge to business and product leaders while preserving their ownership of P&L, growth, market strategy, broker/MGA commercial relationships, and underwriting execution within authority.
