About The Position

In this role you will grow Stride’s deposit business through the sale and promotion of accounts and products for non-borrowing Commercial, Ag and Organization members. This position will manage a portfolio of members by meeting immediate needs and proactively sourcing new business. By working closely with other team members, they ensure the credit union’s goals are met and that members receive seamless quality sales and service that meets or exceeds their expectations.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma with 1-3 years with a financial institution or similar office environment
  • Experience and interest in sales and business development
  • A desire to improve the lives of our members through proactive discussions on their financial needs

Responsibilities

  • Build full-service members by selling memberships and deposit accounts to Commercial, Ag & Organization members
  • Use knowledge of the member's financial situation to position the value of additional products and services, expanding the member’s offerings with Stride
  • Proactively contact members to discuss maturing term deposits to retain and grow Stride business
  • Analyze member needs to recommend optimal deposit solutions, explaining benefits, risks, and alternatives for products
  • Proactively source new business for the credit union by executing opportunities to expand wallet share with existing members and prospecting new members
  • Discuss change of signor requirements with members and resolve routine problems on members' deposit accounts
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union deposit products and services and relevant policies and legislation
  • Assist in Estate Account administration, as required
