At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. We are seeking 15 Technicians to support our client in Dallas, Texas and Buffalo, NY, with candidates able to travel between locations. These are fully onsite positions with availability across AM, afternoon, and PM shifts. In this role, Technicians will work a rotating schedule of five consecutive days, averaging 160 hours over each four-week period, while ensuring adequate time off between scheduled workdays. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to and work onsite at client locations throughout the Buffalo area. Flexibility to work assigned shifts and travel between local sites as needed is required. As Technical Support at Kyndryl, you'll be part of an elite team that provides exceptional technical assistance, enabling our clients to achieve their desired business outcomes. Receive and validate rack-scale equipment against deployment documentation, shipment details, and site intake procedures. Inspect racks, doors, frames, fittings, labels, and visible internal components for shipping damage, missing parts, defects, or other deployment blockers. Document and escalate exceptions promptly so damaged, incomplete, or nonconforming equipment is identified before power-on or engineering validation begins. Check for visible signs of leakage, improper connections, abnormal conditions, or safety concerns and communicate findings before equipment is placed into service. Connect limited, directed control cables as instructed, ensuring cabling is secure, organized, and aligned with deployment guidance. Site facilities teams are expected to connect power to the cabinet/cube where applicable. Assist with initial power-up coordination, observe for obvious hardware or environmental issues, and confirm the rack is ready for engineering monitoring and next-step direction. Coordinate closely with engineers, site leads, and onsite operations teams during bring-up; provide real-time status updates and support additional guided physical or configuration checks as directed. Install and remove SD cards on the cabinet, including work in tight or restricted locations when required. Follow all documented safety, compliance, access, cleanliness, lockout/startup, and equipment handling requirements for the site.
