About The Position

As a Deployment Lead on Anduril’s Air Defense team, you deliver and sustain capabilities that meet customer mission requirements. You own the full deployment lifecycle, from planning and installation through sustainment and continuous improvement, and partner with the Training Lead to prepare end users to operate the systems confidently. You are accountable for the health and performance of deployed assets, contribute as a product and mission subject matter expert during training, and share field insights to improve training and products. You represent Anduril to customers and communicate customer feedback and lessons learned back to the company.

You manage deployments of Anduril’s Air Defense products to support national security infrastructure. Working with the Program Manager, Training Lead, and Program Chief Engineer, you help develop long-term deployment and sustainment operations aligned with customer priorities. The role requires collaboration across business lines and customer engagement, along with flexibility, humility, and a collaborative mindset. Travel up to 50% of the time is required.

Requirements

• Advanced degree or at least 5 years of experience in a technical field; defense, national security, or aerospace experience is preferred.
• Strong organization, creative problem-solving, and proven project management skills.
• Comfort delivering technical content to end users and reinforcing proficiency during site visits.
• Experience creating and maintaining documentation for new or developing processes, including operational procedures and user-facing materials.
• Proven experience leading technology-enabled teams of peers and building influence through relationships.
• Deep interest in national security issues and defense technologies, with a commitment to lifelong learning.
• Experience translating technical concepts into operational requirements and performance specifications.
• Ownership mentality and strong initiative in managing work in isolated or remote environments.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts simply through varied communication methods and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• Prior military experience, particularly in Air Defense, Fires, or related operational roles.
• Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School (USAFWS).
• Experience within the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) or Special Operations Forces (SOF) community.
• Operational experience delivering defense technology solutions to U.S. government customers in hazardous areas or combat zones.
• Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead deployment events, including site installations, test and evaluation exercises, demonstrations, training, and maintenance visits.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across hardware supply, logistics, engineering, and other functions to achieve mission success.
• Manage deployment activities from site surveys through testing, pack-out, installation, and sustainment.
• Anticipate contingencies, establish lightweight processes, assess and mitigate risks, and use lessons learned to improve execution.
• Partner with the Training Lead to support customer training and serve as a deployment and product subject matter expert.
• Reinforce user proficiency during site visits and sustainment activities, identify field training gaps, and provide feedback to keep training curricula and materials current.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, industry partners, users, and Anduril colleagues through clear communication and reliable follow-through.
• Develop expertise in customer mission requirements, threats, regulations, resource constraints, and rules of engagement; communicate customer requirements and CONOPS to Anduril engineers.
• Serve as a counter-unmanned-systems (cUAS) subject matter expert, help customers resource realistic exercises, and manage cUAS-specific equipment configurations.
• Develop detailed knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of Anduril’s Family of Systems and assess likely performance across threats, environmental conditions, and mission constraints.
• Manage end-to-end hardware and software configurations for assigned equipment at deployment sites, ensuring systems are configured, updated, and maintained.
