What does a Departmental Specialist do for us? Under minimum direction and acting on own initiative and direction, they provide complex specialized support for one or more departments or administrative units. Typically, they support multiple senior or business unit managers and staff. Typical duties include maintenance of complicated data systems; research, compilation and analysis of data for reports/studies. Assignments involve work of a confidential nature and require knowledge of the practices and procedures of the function, company policies and programs. They act as the coordinator of departmental projects. May provide guidance or work leadership to lower-level staff. This position serves as direct support to critical operational and compliance functions that enable Power Production Engineering and Resource Development to meet regulatory obligations, maintain documentation integrity, and execute projects efficiently. The Departmental Specialist also acts as a central control point for administrative processes and financial transactions, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and audit readiness across the department.
