About The Position

This position serves as an analyst responsible for activities related to the statewide impaired driving program, including portions of the Annual Grant Application. The role involves planning, implementing, and developing grants with state and local agencies, as well as overseeing and evaluating grant programs. The analyst will assist managerial/program staff, industry, community groups, and governmental agencies in identifying and developing statewide and regional programs to combat impaired driving in Michigan. This position also participates in Office of Highway Safety Planning meetings at local, regional, state, and national levels and must function in a bias-free manner. Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Departmental Analyst 9: No specific type or amount is required.
  • Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience.
  • Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
  • Passing a pre-employment screening, including passing a drug screen, criminal history background check, and a fingerprint check by the Michigan State Police.

Nice To Haves

  • Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
