This position functions as the statewide recognized resource for policy, website development/maintenance and training development/execution for psychotropic medication use and oversight for children in foster care. This position participates on a team of individuals from the Permanency and Wellbeing unit, Foster Care – Psychotropic Medication Oversight unit (FC-PMOU), pharmacy services, and with the CSA medical consultant to determine policy for foster care and training needs for a wide variety of stakeholders and partners engaged in providing treatment services for children in foster care. The goal of these efforts is to improve the health and mental health care and coordination of care for children served by MDHHS.
