About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide training for newly hired temporary and full-time employees. This position also provides on-going job progression training for current employees. Tasks include, but are not limited to Critical and General Safety Rules/Guidelines, Basic Operation of Packaging Equipment, Line, Changeover Operations, Proper Response to Upset Conditions, Line Start-up, Routine Process Adjustments, etc.

Requirements

• Must be a certified Operator Specialist I or have minimum of five years operator experience.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential job duties: stand approximately 12 hours per shift, lift 26-36 pounds on a frequent basis, and work in an un-air-conditioned environment
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all established safety rules and standard operating procedures.
• Must be a Certified Operator Associate or have minimum of five years operator experience.
• Familiar with Outlook and Microsoft Office
• Type 30+ WPM
• Proven communication skills (both written and verbal), computer skills, good organization skills and a passion to teach.
• Must be able to work well and effectively with others.
• Maintains excellent safety record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the execution and follow through of the operator training packets
• Identify training opportunities and create resolutions
• Communicate across different levels of management
• Multi-task and work unsupervised
• Attend daily, weekly and quarterly meetings as necessary
• Lead by example
• Review existing SOP’s for accuracy
• Assist with Orientation and Onboarding as needed
• Works overtime as required
• Performs other duties as assigned
