Under the supervision of the Secretary IV and direct reporting to the Physician Services Manager, the incumbent provides secretarial services to the Manitoba Blood and Marrow Transplant (MBMT) Program, related to quality assurance. The successful candidate will be required to liaise with all CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) sites as well as external partners. Duties include preparation and circulation of agendas and memos, scheduling and organizing meetings, formats and proofreads a variety of documents, maintains, updates, manages and distributes quality assurance SOP documents, participates on quality assurance and accreditation committees, recording minutes, file maintenance, facilitates formatting of validation reports, non- conformance reports and communication with internal and external parties. The incumbent assists with special projects, and other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a recognized Administrative Training Program from an accredited educational institution
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a secretarial position
  • Excellent keyboarding skills 50 WPM
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology
  • Minute taking skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail to ensure deadlines and requirements are met
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as a part of a multidisciplinary team with support and clinical staff
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Must have a satisfactory employment record
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
