About The Position
As a Department Manager at Von Maur, you represent the company and help shape its reputation for customer service. You drive retail growth by building and maintaining relationships, optimizing merchandising, and developing associates to deliver excellent customer experiences. The role combines associate leadership with sales responsibilities, including performing sales associate duties and meeting individual sales and account goals. The position includes a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Motivate associates to deliver outstanding customer service by training, coaching, and leading by example.
- Develop relationships to grow the department’s business.
- Perform all sales associate duties and meet individual sales and account goals.
- Assess associate performance to improve customer service, increase sales, and meet department goals.
- Provide associates with feedback on service, selling, and account statistics.
- Develop and implement solutions to address customer problems and department needs.
- Work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts.
