DEPARTMENT MANAGER - SALES
About The Position
As a Department Manager, you represent Von Maur and help shape its reputation as America’s Leading Department Store. You drive retail growth by building and maintaining relationships, optimizing merchandising, and developing associates to provide top-tier customer experiences. The position combines leadership responsibilities with sales associate duties and individual sales and account goals. The role requires availability for a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts. The expected base wage is $19.00–$21.00 per hour, with commission and overtime eligibility. Actual wages depend on individual qualifications, and commission may vary by department. Pay ranges may differ by location.

Responsibilities
- Motivate associates to deliver outstanding customer service by training, coaching, and leading by example.
- Develop relationships to grow department business.
- Perform all sales associate duties and meet individual sales and account goals.
- Assess associate performance to improve customer service, increase sales, and meet department goals.
- Provide associates feedback on service, selling, and account statistics.
- Develop and implement solutions to address customer problems and department needs.
