About The Position

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for a Department Manager
for its West Ames Physical Medicine & Rehab office. Candidates should be
service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care,
every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: Responsible for the coordination and management of
specific clinical area(s).
The management goal is to assure that departments
are structured and operating to provide quality patient care in a cost effective
manner. Management and other duties include patient care and patient relations,
staff supervision, physician support, operations and systems monitoring,
development and monitoring of budget, patient education planning and department
projects and planning in accordance with Core Values and Promise. Primary nurse

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists (AMT), NAHP, NCCT, NHA
• Current LPN or RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
• Mandatory Reporting of Dependent Adult and Child Abuse.
• Previous hospital or clinic experience - requirements related to specialty area preferred.
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.

• Previous management experience preferred.
