About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the store, focusing on customer service and merchandise management. The Department Head will help unload trucks, put away merchandise, execute daily goals, and manage promotional displays. They will also handle special orders, ensure excellent customer service to prevent shoplifting, and respond to radio requests. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
• Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
• Ability to gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.
• Ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company’s insurance carrier’s standards.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by the store manager.
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays as needed.
• Watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Provide excellent customer service and interaction.
• Watch for shoplifters and act in line with Elder’s policy.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
