About The Position

This combined position bridges macro-level administrative operations with micro-level programmatic and curriculum oversight, providing a unified strategy for instructional quality, faculty support, and student progression within the Business department.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate in Business Administration, Management, or a closely related business discipline from a regionally accredited institution (terminal degree preferred).
  • Current, full-time faculty specifically within business disciplines
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience in higher education (specifically within business disciplines).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in higher education (e.g., serving as a department chair, lead faculty, or program coordinator).
  • Comprehensive understanding of curriculum development, learning outcome assessment, and accreditation standards.
  • Strong administrative capabilities, including data-informed enrollment management, budgeting, scheduling, and personnel conflict resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead faculty and staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and periodic performance evaluations within the Business department.
  • Develop, administer, and monitor the annual department budget, ensuring equitable distribution of resources, instructional equipment, and facilities.
  • Construct and manage comprehensive semester course schedules aligned with student pathways, historical enrollment data, and graduation requirements. Actively monitor low-enrollment sections early, evaluate cancellation impacts on degree progression, and review faculty load distributions.
  • Communicate and enforce institutional policies, operational procedures, and academic compliance standards.
  • Lead ongoing review, development, and revision of business program and course curricula to meet industry standards and transfer requirements.
  • Oversee systematic program-level assessment plans, analyzing data to drive continuous instructional improvement.
  • Verify master course syllabus updates, required compliance statements (such as AI policies), modality verifications, and faculty adherence to census engagement requirements.
  • Maintain documentation required by regional and programmatic accrediting bodies and facilitate Program Advisory Committees to integrate industry feedback into program pathways.
  • Mediate student-faculty conflicts, review grade appeals, provide academic guidance, and support institutional retention and graduation initiatives.
  • Spearhead recruitment development, cross-disciplinary pathways (such as integrating business analytics and technology), and university transfer partnerships.
