About The Position

Assists assigned departments and reports to the assistant store manager or the immediate supervisor. This role involves supplying the store with merchandise by sorting, packaging, and occasionally pricing donations. The Department Assistant will also display merchandise in designated areas on the sales floor, perform responsibilities of various departments when a Pricer is absent, and ensure the production department is clean and stocked. Additionally, the role requires keeping the sales floor shoppable by ragging, balancing, and rotating seasonal merchandise, and performing other duties and special assignments as directed, which may include assignments outside the primary area of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supplies the store with merchandise by sorting, packaging, and occasionally pricing donations for assigned departments.
• Displays merchandise in designated areas on the sales floor.
• Performs responsibilities of various departments when Pricer is absent.
• Assures production department is clean and materials are stocked.
• Cleans personal work area daily to remove dust and damaged goods.
• Keeps sales floor shoppable by ragging, balancing, and rotating seasonal merchandise.
• Performs other duties and special assignments as directed, including assignments that may be outside the primary area of employment.
