The incumbent is a member of the healthcare team who is accountable for patient care supportive services for a care team under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. May have access to or be required to distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations, (such as large stock supplies, automated dispensing units and other carts) to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure. As a Department Aide, you will serve as a vital member of the healthcare team, providing essential patient care supportive services under direct RN supervision. Your accountability ensures efficient patient care. Every day you will perform tasks including assisting with patient mobility, maintaining patient environments, and managing supplies. You may also access and distribute drugs or medical supplies per hospital policy. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent communication, and a meticulous approach to duties. Reliability and adherence to policy are paramount.
