About The Position

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Department Administrator Maintenance and Tooling in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The Department Administrator is responsible for supporting the maintenance and tooling departments. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a stamping environment, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Possess 3-5 years in an administrative role preference given to a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Maintenance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient is MS Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Capacity to take direction
  • Strong attention to details
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Post secondary education in Administration is an asset
  • Ability to design and implement processes to enhance workflow and data management.
  • Basic knowledge or experience repairing air tools, power tools and minor hydraulic or pneumatic systems
  • Able to operate grinders, die grinders and air ratchets

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage tool room clerical functions.
  • Maintain and update records of tool room equipment, tools and kits.
  • Maintain tool room equipment manuals, processes and operational guidelines.
  • Operate fork-lift, pallet jack and other heavy equipment when necessary.
  • Operate crane to move, split and flip dies as needed in Toolroom and Steel Bay Area.
  • Maintains a system to track the location of tooling.
  • Inspects tooling and equipment, as well as plant and performs preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains, services, and repairs tools (electrical cords, air hoses, power tools, etc.).
  • Maintains an appropriate level of stock to supply production departments with all the tooling they need.
  • Provide administrative project and/or process support for the Maintenance Department, supporting the Maintenance Manager, and other Maintenance Department personnel.
  • Maintain records, processes, procedures including responsibility for data entry of specific Maintenance related information.
  • Create and maintain a facilities projects master schedule.
  • Assist in all permitting and outage documentation.
  • Compile and generate reports, track status of projects and budgets, and to create presentations.
  • Maintenance purchasing requisitions and tracking.
  • Spare part tracking and crib inventory tracking.
  • Performs other duties as required by the department.
