About The Position

The Administrative Services Department’s Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Director of Administrative Services, Finance division, Human Resources division, and Information Technology division. Key duties include managing Human Resources records and data, processing verifications of employment, assisting with new-hire onboarding, coordinating department payroll, and delivering general administrative support. The position also serves as the primary point of contact for the department by overseeing the front counter and phone operations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, customer service–oriented professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in office administration, particularly in Human Resources or Finance, is highly desirable. The successful individual will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service. Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused department are essential.

Requirements

  • At least four (4) years of experience performing administrative-level duties OR two (2) years of experience at or equivalent to the level of Office Specialist or Department Administrative Assistant in the City of Coronado
  • Completion of college-level coursework in business office technology, business administration, or a related field
