About The Position

The dentist provides preventive and primary dental care to patients of all ages in a community with limited access to dental care, working as part of an integrated team that includes medical providers, care managers, and in-house pharmacy services. SCHS handles practice operations, including overhead, billing, and marketing. The role includes examining, diagnosing, and treating patients; referring patients for specialty care; documenting encounters; and educating patients and families about oral health and disease prevention. The dentist collaborates with medical providers and care managers, supports clinic staff training and orientation as requested, and maintains licensure, continuing education, and regulatory compliance. Full-time dentists at the NHSC-approved Greensburg clinic may qualify for National Health Service Corps loan repayment in exchange for a two-year service commitment; eligibility and awards are determined by HRSA.
